The strike was of course unexpected but inevitable. Some say it was Karma getting back at us for what we did to this planet. Others say it was Mother Nature. Some people say it was a scientifically proven natural disaster. I personally believe the scientists, because i'm not a superficial fool.

FULL VIEW PLEASE I spent a lot of time on this, and i'm really proud.
Those are some wicked details on the smoke-trails, the distant ones are especially realistic. The close one ( which I assume has just hit the ground ) could use having a brighter glow around the impact zone in the smoke.
But still, its very dramatic, reminds me of that scene in Deep Impact that never ceases to make my eyes bulge out

Why is delivering things in a car called "Shipment" while delivering things by boat is called "Cargo" ?
Hahaha Cheers Yeah if you read the description, it says 'hoto taken by a crew of archaelogists just before the asteroid struck and unfortunately took their lives' The asteroid hasn't actually struck yet. It's just before the impact.
How did you do the smoke trails of the asteroids? It looks like a ton of stock images of clouds all mashed together. Or did you use an external package to render it in 3D?
Yeah I went on google, searched 'oil fire' and 'shuttle launch' and put together some images. Then made a brush out of some of the clouds to add some more detailed bits myself.
Really well done, for the most part, especially the asteroid smoke-trails, which are amazing... I'm not sure I like the flatness of the foreground terrain, nor the clouds over the mountains in the background...
Yeah i'm proud of the clouds! The floor isn't mine, got it off a stock. I did have some problems wih the clouds, because I put them in myself and couldn't get them right.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
